Overview
Lviv is a city in Ukraine. About 717,273 people live in the city proper, making it the 6th largest city of Ukraine in our atlas.
It lies at 49.84° N, 24.02° E, about 284 m (932 ft) above sea level, and keeps time on the Europe/Kyiv time zone.

Lviv has a continental (warm summer) climate (Köppen Dfb). The warmest month is usually Jul, with average highs near 25°C (77°F); the coolest nights come in Jan at about -8°C (18°F). Around 734 mm (29 in) of rain and snow falls in a typical year, most of it in May.
