Overview

Cali is a city in Colombia, in Valle del Cauca Department. About 2.4 million people live in the city proper, making it the 2nd largest city of Colombia in our atlas.

It lies at 3.43° N, 76.52° W, about 758 m (2,487 ft) above sea level, and keeps time on the America/Bogota time zone. It sits inside the tropics.

Climate

Cali has a Mediterranean (warm summer) climate (Köppen Csb). The warmest month is usually Aug, with average highs near 22°C (71°F); the coolest nights come in Jul at about 11°C (52°F). Around 1,023 mm (40 in) of rain and snow falls in a typical year, most of it in Nov.
