Overview
Calgary is a city in Canada, in Alberta. About 1.3 million people live in the city proper, making it the 3rd largest city of Canada in our atlas.
It lies at 51.05° N, 114.09° W, about 1,048 m (3,438 ft) above sea level, and keeps time on the America/Edmonton time zone.

Calgary has a continental (warm summer) climate (Köppen Dfb). The warmest month is usually Jul, with average highs near 24°C (75°F); the coolest nights come in Feb at about -12°C (10°F). Around 546 mm (21 in) of rain and snow falls in a typical year, most of it in Jun.
