COMPASSA
Alter ego: Bolormaa Ganbat, 31, Mongolian cartographer from Ulaanbaatar.
“Every place has a story.”
Origin
Bolormaa was mapping the Gobi when a sandstorm swallowed a caravan of travellers. She closed her eyes and drew the land in her mind, and a glowing map appeared in the air. She walked everyone home. She has never been lost since.
Powers
- Living Map: unfolds a glowing 3D map of the land around her, anywhere
- True North: always knows the way home, and can point anyone else home too
- Terrain Shift: raises small land bridges and smooths rough ground
Weakness
Blank spaces: in uncharted caves or deep fog, her map goes blank until she explores it.
Sidekick
Mapsy, a baby Bactrian camel with map-pattern fur.
Villain
The Blankmaker, who erases places from maps so people get lost.
Costume
an ocean-blue and forest-green fitted explorer hero suit with sand panels, a compass-rose shoulder piece, a map-scroll bracer, sand boots.
