Overview
Visakhapatnam is a city in India, in Andhra Pradesh. About 1.1 million people live in the city proper, making it the 46th largest city of India in our atlas.
It lies at 17.68° N, 83.20° E, about 24 m (79 ft) above sea level, and keeps time on the Asia/Kolkata time zone. It sits inside the tropics.
