Overview
Shaoxing is a city in China, in Zhejiang. About 2.3 million people live in the city proper, making it the 67th largest city of China in our atlas.
It lies at 30.00° N, 120.58° E, about 21 m (69 ft) above sea level, and keeps time on the Asia/Shanghai time zone.

Climate
Shaoxing has a humid subtropical climate (Köppen Cfa). The warmest month is usually Jul, with average highs near 32°C (89°F); the coolest nights come in Jan at about 0°C (32°F). Around 1,460 mm (57 in) of rain and snow falls in a typical year, most of it in Jun.
