Overview
Phoenix is a city in United States, in Arizona. About 1.7 million people live in the city proper, making it the 7th largest city of United States in our atlas.
It lies at 33.45° N, 112.07° W, about 331 m (1,086 ft) above sea level, and keeps time on the America/Phoenix time zone.

Phoenix has a hot desert climate (Köppen BWh). The warmest month is usually Jul, with average highs near 41°C (105°F); the coolest nights come in Dec at about 4°C (40°F). Around 254 mm (10 in) of rain and snow falls in a typical year, most of it in Jan.
